How to buy a Authentic Soccer Jerseys

This Blog is about soccer merchandise and buying (and collecting) soccer merchandise. While I will probably focus on Soccer Jerseys most of the time, discussions on soccer books, soccer dvds, other soccer apparel, soccer equipment and (of course) Soccer Cleats are not out of the question. I am willing to go wherever the postings and feedback take us. I welcome any and all feedback to my postings and am sure that we will both come away learning a little bit in the process.

I am founder and manager of SOCCERJERSEYSCITY.com and over the years have owned and operated a number of soccer specialty retail shops. Our current business is very much focused on International Licensed Soccer Products (or replica jerseys), but I also have quite a bit of experience with the more traditional US Soccer Marketplace (eg. shoes, team orders, etc). We maintain a network of independent suppliers worldwide as well as the big soccer brands here in the USA.

So, why would you be interested in any of this? Good question. If you are a casual soccer fan, or have just discovered the game, or perhaps looking for information on buying a soccer jersey as a gift for someone, then I should be able to steer you away from some of the pitfalls and clear up some of the confusion about buying a soccer jersey. For instance: What is the difference between authentic, official and replica soccer jerseys? I saw this jersey listed eBay for $30....is it official? Where can I look for an official RONALDINHO Barcelona jersey? etc, etc.

If you are a real fan of soccer jerseys or a collector, then you already know the answers to all those questions. But what I would like promote with you, is a discussion about any news regarding sponsor changes, new jerseys designs, official printing and patches and any new stores or websites that are doing a good job with International Soccer Jerseys. I know there are a lot of you jersey "fanatics" out there...because I talk and email a lot of you in the course of business with SOCCERJERSEYSCITY.com. I'm betting that I can learn a lot from all of you, and hopefully I can impart some useful information from the retailers perspective.

Finally, I would really like to get some feedback on any topics that you would like to see covered in this space. I have the first few already lined up, but as I mentioned above, I'll go wherever the comments and feedback takes us. I'd also like to make it clear that while I am affiliated with SOCCERJERSEYSCITY.com and this blog will be sponsored by them, I am more than willing to discuss other shops and online stores. It would be great if all of you shopped at my site, but there are also a lot of other sites and shops out there that do a good job (and some that don't)...we can talk and link to any of them. Thanks for reading!
