"Anything that people were proficient at we certainly didn't do an excessive amount of today.
"We are usually good at passing and moving and there was not a great deal of this so when we've got it back we gave it away quickly.
"They had one chance within the other half when the boy (Mark Gower) place it over and Pepe designed a save in the first half but we must understand that degree of performance isn't acceptable."

"It was fantastic. I felt i was equipped to come to a big team and put in a big performance.
"Today would be a chance to show we now have grown into the league. We started perfectly but to set up a performance like that at a big club with top players fills me with great pride.
"I thought we were outstanding. We've got a bit of fortune early on but you need that however i don't think there is anything lucky about the result or even the performance."
